You can obtain application forms from your responsible cost unit (health insurance, German pension insurance) or from your attending physician. After confirmation by the doctor of the medical necessity, the rehabilitation measure is applied for at your responsible cost unit.

When you arrive, you can drive up to the clinic entrance to the short-term parking zone to unload your luggage. For longer-term parking, we recommend our garage (fee 2€/day). Luggage carts are available for you in the reception hall.
Please do not take advantage of any economy fares offered by Deutsche Bahn, as in the event of a change in your arrival or departure, the rail tickets cannot be rebooked.
Follow-up treatment (AHB) is further treatment immediately after a stay in hospital due to an acute illness or after an operation. You are welcome to ask the hospital's social services department about follow-up treatment in our clinic. As long as there are no medical or other reasons against it, it should be possible to comply with your right of choice (§ 9 SGB IX). As a rule, the German Federal Pension Insurance or the health insurance will cover the costs. The stay usually lasts 3 weeks. In case of medical necessity, an extension can be granted in consultation with your responsible cost bearer. This is requested by the attending physician. An extension on a private basis is possible at any time.
Full-day outpatient rehabilitation
We offer full-day outpatient rehabilitation. The therapy offer is equivalent to an inpatient stay. The difference is that you are only in our clinic during the day. Our comfortable rest rooms for all-day outpatients guarantee rest between therapies and meals. Your payer usually approves 15 days of therapy.
Patients are admitted via the reception desk.
In some cases, the cost bearer determines the start of rehabilitation, otherwise the coordination for an admission date takes place via our patient and guest service. If you are unable to keep the agreed admission date, please contact our patient and guest service.
Your accompanying person can be admitted for a weekend or for the entire duration of rehabilitation. Reservations are gladly accepted by our patient and guest service.
The Klinik Dr. Baumstark has the permission to operate a private hospital according to § 30 / 155 of the trade regulations and therefore fulfills the regulations for aid. If you are insured with a private health insurance company and the aid office is not the payer, but you are our contractual partner. For this reason, you will receive a clinic contract upon invitation. Cost absorption must be applied for and approved by your health insurance company and the subsidy office before the start of treatment. In the event that no cost assumption declaration is received, the patient is obligated to pay for all or part of the clinic services for the entire stay as a self-payer. Please note that some private insurances only partially cover the costs of rehabilitation, so that you may have to expect a deductible. Please note that in particular the Rhineland-Palatinate state aid office does not reimburse the costs in full and that you will have to bear the costs yourself. The nursing rate for the private ward is calculated, including accommodation, meals, nursing care and therapeutic services. The elective medical services of the head physician are calculated according to the German Medical Fee Schedule (GOÄ) and billed separately. The cafeteria is always a popular meeting place for patients and visitors alike. In summer, coffee, cake and ice cream are also offered on the terrace. Sky is also available in the cafeteria.

Luggage carts are available to transport your luggage. Our staff will be happy to assist you.
You will receive the currently valid hygiene concept with your arrival folder. This applies as an extension of our house rules, which you will also receive.
Our exercise pool can be used at set times (before or after therapy hours) for free swimming and free exercise. A doctor's permission is required for this.
The clinic has a comprehensive W-LAN network in the rooms of the clinic. Thus, you can easily access the Internet with your laptop in your room. You can get your WLAN access ticket either by the hour or for your entire stay at our reception.
A laundry room with washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron is available.
Upon request, we will gladly organize a laundry service or cleaning.
Directly in the clinic there is an orthopedic workshop of the medical supply store Rosenkranz and Scherer. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 15:30-16:30 PM.
Parking spaces can be rented in our parking garage for a fee (2€/day) at the reception. Parking spaces are also available for short-term parkers. There is also the possibility to store your own bicycle. Please contact our reception staff if you require a parking space. Charging facilities for e-cars are currently not available.
Treatment at your own expense or at the expense of private insurance is possible at any time in our clinic.
We await you with appealing comfort and ambience. First-class medical and therapeutic care are our hallmark. You will stay with us in a comfort single room or in a suite on the private ward. The use of the internet via W-LAN connection is free of charge for you.
If you wish to have the chief medical care, please inform us on the day of your arrival.
We will be happy to provide you with conference rooms or secretarial services if required and arrange this according to your wishes.

Surely you understand that smoking is not allowed in the house. Only in a smoking pavilion, which is located near a footpath to the clinic, smoking is allowed. Also affected by this regulation are e-cigarettes, vaporizers, IQOS etc. .
As a general rule, leaves of absence are not permitted by the payers. Justified exceptions require the approval of the senior physicians.
Medications, papers, aids and devices
No liability is assumed for valuables in your room. Cash and valuables can be deposited in the safe of the administration / cash desk or kept in the safe. You are welcome to have a safe brought to your room for a fee.
Visitors are welcome at the Klinik Dr. Baumstark. However, we ask for consideration for fellow patients during rest periods.
Catholic services are held regularly. Excursions to churches are offered on Sundays and holidays.
